Toddler Meal # 2

Posted by Kero at Monday, June 08, 2009
Here is a dinner I prepared for Andreas.

There is a Tiffany Kiddie Cocktail (an anniversary give-away when we visited Deira City Center), yellow rice, and slices of kiwi for dessert. The protein for those who are asking, comes from the yellow rice. It is actually a one-dish meal. It has slices of pork, raisins, a dash of lemon and the generous turmeric has antiseptic properties. It even has cloves and cinnamon bark renowned for its curing properties. The dish has been a favorite for my little boy that i actually had to give him another serving.

I diluted the cocktail juice with water - half and half portion. Even when i give him apple juice, i always add water and he doesn't seem to mind. Andre also finished the kiwi slices. At first he did not like the fruit - no matter how i try to present it in shapes. Then one time, i sliced a leftover from the fridge, and he munched them like he was eating some apple. The trick i realized was he sometimes like the fruit served chilled.

*Feeding Tip
Just because your child declined the first serving doesn't mean he will never like the certain food. Let it rest, have patience and try giving it again maybe after a week, or even a month. It would be nice if he eats what ever body else is eating on the table.
