Is it just me? Or the cold, rainy days? Or am I missing Norah Jones' music?

Hubby is going to laugh at me for falling in love with a country song. But Adele's version gave me a last song syndrome.

Watch, listen and sing...To Make You Feel My Love.

When the rain
Is blowing in your face
And the whole world
Is on your case
I could offer you
A warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows
And the stars appear
And there is no one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love

I know you
Haven't made
Your mind up yet
But I would never
Do you wrong
I've known it
From the moment
That we met
No doubt in my mind
Where you belong

I'd go hungry
I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling
Down the avenue
No, there's nothing
That I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love

The storms are raging
On the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
Though winds of change
Are throwing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing
Like me yet

I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends
Of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love

fam priorities

Posted by Kero at Sunday, January 18, 2009 2 sweets for Kero
Hubby and i have been talking about buying a property in Manila, Antipolo, or Laguna. Yes, it is recession time and no banks are accepting loans but still it feels good to know that we got our priorities right. On our honeymoon, we talked about house and lot as top priority but two years and eight months of marriage, we still have to buy one hihi.

Last night, we talked to some friends and they revealed some are selling their property and some are acquiring more and more property in Metro Manila. This prompted us to ask ourselves silently if we had it all wrong. We actually never set a goal on what we wanted to happen. But looking back..

2006 - we exchange vows in Baguio City and headed to Dubai
2007 - our first wedding anniversary was a celebration also of my pregnancy
- we were able to acquire our 2008 Toyota Fortuner
- after Christmas Day, i gave birth to our son, Andreas
2008 - hubby received his promotion as Design Manager...

Every year, something life-changing event occurs in our marriage. And it is always for the better. We thank the Lord for all of these because he always gives us enough that we are capable of helping others.

So this 2009, now that there are three of us, it is time we set our priorities right. I pray and hope for these:

1. start paying for a house & lot
2. buy that machine for metal works from Eisenkraft
3. a reputable nursery for Andreas
4. look for a nanny...
5. continue my HR career.

Yes, there are no vacations on deck - especially to the Philippines. We figured we have to buy that property first before anything else. May God continue to help our..

Happy Sunday people!! We got a great weekend stroll last Saturday at Jumeirah Beach Residence. It was one chilly morning but we were in for a great surprise when we chanced upon the famous American 3D street painter Rod Tryon. Apparently, he has been invited here in the desert for the annual Dubai Shopping Festival.

Rod Tryon sharing his craft for the Emiratis and the expats at
The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence.

Kids, adults, and passerbys stop to watch Tyron's artistic talent.

Among his work that has been circulating the internet.

Maybe we will go visit again next weekend to see the finished 3D painting. Dubai Shopping Festival runs from January 15 to February 21. Aside from huge discounts on retail, there are also festivities om shopping mals ina a bid to keep customers and tourists coming in Thank you so much for the visits everyone. weekend snapshot # 34

Happy Sunday fellow weekenders! How did you celebrate the new year? Over here in Dubai, the traditional revelry to welcome New Year were canceled. The order for somber salutation was made by the Ruler of Dubai to show solidarity with Palestinians suffering from heavy bombings by the Israelis. Dubai Municipality went to respond further by putting up charity donations in shopping malls. I share with you today the snapshot from Mall of the Emirates

While world leaders condemn Isaraeli bombings,
Dubai responds to Gaza crisis with charity.

Thank you to all for your continued visits. I will be blog walking in awhile. Take care and may we all have a peaceful and prosperous 2009!!
