How to avoid blisters while camping, hiking or backpacking

**First put on a cheapopair of pop socks (knee-high stockings) and then put on your socks and boots. Instead of our socks rubbing against your skin and creating blisters, the friction ends up between the hose and your socks instead. Voila, no more blisters! I learned this in a backpacking club in school - a club where we regularly walked fifteen miles or so per day. This really works!

**Before you start, dig your nails into a bar of soap - it really works! Better than gloves for me, because even if I wear gloves I always take them off to do something finicky. Thus, I do the soap thing then put on the gloves.

How to look glamorous in a photograph

**Lift your chin just a little bit and smile! If you are being posed with someone you dislike, or your hair and make-up are horrible, don't try to get out of it -- just close your eyes. Most people won't keep or pass on, those pictures.

**Normally when you smile, your eyes crinkle. To avoid that purposely open your eyes a bit wider (but remember, you're not going a a 'deer in the headlights' look), and when you smile, let your mouth open a little bit.

**Look down the lens of the camera as if you are looking at your lover and you want to make passionate love to them. Do this with a smile and you won't look like a porn star.

How to be organized if you use several handbags

**I use several favorite handbags and it is a hassle to keep putting the bare necessities into each one (lipgloss, tweezers, breath freshener, plaster's etc.). So I keep these in a clear plastic cosmetic bag that fits into all of my favorite handbags. When I change bags, I just grab the clear bag and pop it in the handbag I will be using for a day.

**I have afew designer bags that I use at the weekend. I have them stocked with some essentials - hairbrush, lip gloss, a stash of mad money - so all i have to do is throw in my wallet and mobile phone. I found that it is really helpful to have a few extra sets of keys, so I can keep them in the extra bags as well.

How To Accessorize

**I work in fashion and have learnt that the key to accessorizing is not to overdo it. Pick one great accessory, such as a statement belt or a work-of-art necklace, and focus your outfit on that point. Never wear dangly earrings with a necklace, and keep rings to a minimum.

**A great tip about accessorising is to get dressed as normal, and then (if you are worried that you've over accessorised) turn your back to the mirror. Turn around quickly and take off the first thing you see.
