Top Tips For Girls #12

How to be a woman men love

Things Every Man Love In A Woman:
You are an independent woman, not a clinger.
You are sexy, hot, but not slutty.
You remember  to do the little things,
just like you did in the beginning.
  You let him pursue you.
You never utter words, "Where is this going?'
You impose a two-drink maximum on yourself when you go out.
You never humiliate him in front of friends, family or co-workers.
  You watch your language.
  You say yes.

Find The Best Personal Injury Attorney

Posted by Kero at Thursday, December 30, 2010 0 sweets for Kero
Last night, we were suppose to have dinner with Hubby's former classmate, P. I was a little excited because the venue was Rose Rayhaan Hotel, and this will be our first time to visit. However, my excitement was cut short when P called to tell that we will have re-schedule the meeting because of a site emergency. P works as a safety officer for a construction company.

Hubby was not informed of other details other than it is emergency. We fervently hope that there had been no accident or injury but just a simple delay on the erection site. However, if any of your relative was injured while on duty because of other people's negligence or carelessness, the next best thing to do is to seek legal help from personal injury lawyers.

Questions such as how to pay for the unexpected medical expenses, how to get back your lost ages, and compensation for the pain and suffering you have to endure must be answered by legal experts.. Look then for reputable law firms such as Robert L. Meissner Law Office.Their practice areas include Sacramento Personal Injury Attorney which offers free consultation. They are known to work hard and will be able to help you get fair compensation. Just a little note though, be wary of lawyers who call you right after the accident. It is very improper for reputable attorneys to do such.

Sweet Port Wine & Dark Chocolates

Posted by Kero at Wednesday, December 29, 2010 0 sweets for Kero
My taste of little heaven for this evening. ((^_^))

Hubby flew to Oman early this morning for a business trip. I asked if he can drop by Dubai Duty Free for some magic potion. He arrived before supper with not one but three bottles of wine!!

Although we rarely drink thee days - we still have Bailey's and Absolut Vodka on the counter -  I want to sip something different on New Year's Eve, hence the request on wine purchase. After our supper of grilled lamb chops courtesy of our favorite Jabal Al Noor, Hubby said we must try one of his purchase.

I'm glad that he was able to buy Cockburn's Fine Ruby Port, a blend of young wines with sweet, fruity taste. It goes well with cheese board, nuts,  and  desserts of dark chocolate.

Our Indian neighbor gave us a box of chocolate bars, and Hubby's office gave a huge tub as well over Christmas. I am not a chocolate fanatic so I gave away most. I left a few pieces  in case I need sugar rush. But lately, I totally stopped eating them. Tonight though was a different heavenly experience - wine to accompany biter chocolates!

Thank you, darling. I love you. Mwaah!

Christmas Day Celebration!

Posted by Kero at Sunday, December 26, 2010 16 sweets for Kero
After a festive Christmas Eve, we spent December 25 with a simple celebration for my son's 3rd birthday. We are not big on parties so we just spent the day going out and about the city visiting and meeting his favorites.

Our first stop was meet and greet Barney and Friends at the Dubai Dolphinarium.Barney was the special guest during his 1st Birthday Party.

Then we visited the lined up bouncy castles at Creek Park before we savored a small picnic under the shady trees.

The next stop was The  Dubai Mall to see the epic Christmas Tree that delights the young and old =).

Then we rounded the Treasure Dome where our little boy enjoyed the Falcon Show and I got a complimentary Henna Tattoo.

Our day ended in Marina Mall where he was treated again to a bouncy castle before we  visited the water fountain shaped to a tree.

Happy Birthday, Andreas!!! We love you oh so much, darling!!

Upholstery Talk

Posted by Kero at Thursday, December 23, 2010 0 sweets for Kero
That definitely sums up my morning, lol! I just got off the phone talking to my Uncle M in US. I called to to say thank you for the Christmas package his family sent to us. It arrived yesterday and my call of gratitude was just in time because his family was about to leave their house.

Uncle M and his family are driving to a nearby hotel. They  chose to spend the Christmas week in one of the hotels in the district because their living room is currently empty making it impossible to entertain guests. All their furniture are being restored by Upholstery Portland.

Apparently, the company's schedule is very tight due to customer demand that the only time they can accommodate  my Uncle's home furnishings is during Christmas week. Nobody protested because the antique dining chairs were wedding gift from his parents thus it holds a sentimental value. They always go to extra lengths to maintain it.

On an earlier phone call, his wife excitedly related to me that finally, after five years. their home furnishings and dining chairs will receive free in-home  inspection and estimates. This gives them more time to bond with their two young daughters. They were very impressed with Upholstery Portland services that even if it falls on a time when friends and relative should come over to their house, they went on with the scheduled restoration.

Festive Settings!

Posted by Kero at Wednesday, December 22, 2010 0 sweets for Kero
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

Deck the halls with boughs of holly fa la lalalalaa... 'tis the season to be jolly fa la lalalalalalalaa..

I am humming to myself early this morning as I finalize our guests for Christmas dinner. This is our third year to host and I feel more confident now to receive guests. We are expecting around eight people -composed of our closest family friends and relatives.

I share with you today some decorating tips and must-have accessories for throwing a successful Christmas Eve dinner. Take it from a frugal Mom =)

1. Get an impressive table cloth. teamed it up with interesting table runner. If you can get your hands on those crafted in India table runner from Pier 1   the better. It will add a touch of oriental on your table and will definitely start up conversations among your guests - if they are meeting for the first time.

2. Note on choosing table cloth and table runner: Use prints sparingly to keep the attention focused on the centerpiece.

3. For an easy, classic table centerpiece, I use a basic pine wreath in the center of the table. You can add candles, ornaments, bows, whatever you fancy. You can also ask  your child to help make the centerpiece - then you can show off your guests your kid made it. There will be ooh and aahs and praises and your kid will feel extra special and might just behave himself for the rest of the evening.

4. Another easy accent on the table is to fill shot glasses with beads, white roses, or other delicate flowers. Add water and place in the middle of the table.

5. Decorate ribbons or net bows around the chairs.

We always make it a point to give small token of appreciation to our guests for a wonderful evening. I feel very lucky to find  Pier 1 where I can buy unique and affordable holiday gifts . I chose their brooch and gem clutches for our lady guests. They are all for $10 each!

As gifts for men, Hubby chose something more fun like the metal musical dogs which sells $15 each.
One more thing I love about Pier 1 is their astrologically friendly gifts. It's a brilliant guide if you are at loss what to give somebody who seems to have everything.

I would also like to take this opportunity to invite my readers to like Pier 1 Imports on Facebook. For every new fan they get, they will donate $1 to Toys For Tots.

Red Velvet, Anyone?

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, December 21, 2010 1 sweets for Kero
mmm home-made cupcake!
My boys were very delighted to see me arrive just before supper with a box filled with red velvet cupcakes. It's their favorite flavor and they got the goodie for free from my friend Chef J. I went to Sharjah early today to help out Chef J who received plenty of  orders for her homemade cupcakes.

It is the week of company Christmas parties and one organization decided to order 100 cupcakes from her. They saw it an affordable option with home made quality. Cupcakes in Dubai are sold between 10-12AED and Chef J is selling her kitchen produce for 5AED each!

She actually hates being nicknamed Chef J but among the six of us, we all look up to her for her baking skills. Her family owns a renowned bakery business in our home country hence her cooking skills are inherent. She actually stopped working now and is planning to concentrate on cupcake delivery business. During her visit to us last week, she showed me the business logo design she tried to sketch. This will be placed on the business cards she will order in time for January. She asked for my opinion but since a logo is also very crucial to a business' appearance, I suggested  we research online for tips on logo design.

I hope that when Chef J's cupcake business takes off, our family will get a discount card lol!

Saving Up!

Posted by Kero at Sunday, December 19, 2010 1 sweets for Kero
It was Hubby's birthday last week but we chose to celebrate all by ourselves. Andreas and I bought a cake, sang Happy Birthday, had a simple home-cooked dinner and finished it off with a cup of coffee drizzled with Bailey's cream. Yes, we chose to consume all that our cupboard has to offer. ((^_^))

We are tightening our belt because we decided to travel next year for our 5th wedding anniversary. Depending on the amount of our savings for travel, we are thinking of a vacation to the Philippines or see the outskirts of England. Friends and relatives would insist Philippines but a vacation back home is doubly expensive than Holiday Lodges in Dorset.

Life in a super city is very stressful so we are planning a beach holiday where our son can fly kites, where  we can enjoy the sand, and still experience something new. Our travel agent advised that in Dorset, we can have a country break, feast on local produce, and  be able to visit the world famous Jurassic Heritage Site. Hubby is always fascinated with the country life. He was even more thrilled at the prospect of seeing Dinosaur foot prints and fossils that he made this county in South West England our second choice for holiday destination.

All we have to do now is work extra hard to save up. Do wish us luck! =)
