During our stay in Jumeirah The Meydan, the staff informed us that Winter Meet & Greet at the Racecourse has started. Every Thursday, thoroughbred and Arabian horses race in preparation of the Dubai Worldcup 2011.
It was an exhilarating experience! And I strongly urge the public to go and watch as there is an area where you can watch for free. Everybody is welcome, kids ran around, people spread their mats, and play cards in between races. There is a food court managed by Jumeirah that for 15AED, you can get the best chicken finger in town =)
We left the race horse in-love with Always Emirates, and Game Stalker =) Enjoy my shots.
Audience far from the racecourse can watch from the giant screen which gives 360 degrees view of the action.
The second race.
The 4-year old Game Stalker became a huge crowd favorite. It is owned by His Excellency Sheikh Mansoor.
The computerized verification of winner. It is shown after every game. The yellow dash tracks the winner.
Sheikh Mansoor escorting Game Stalker to the podium to receive his recognition.
