Wanted: More

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, October 28, 2008 0 sweets for Kero
A few weeks ago, hubby and i managed to sneak in a DVD date while Andreas was nursing colds and fast sleep. We opted to watch James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie's Wanted.

And we were left wanting more haha. We'll there was not much anything about the film except for some action stunts that has never been seen before. But the lines the characters say are too shallow. And they were even poorly dubbed. Jolie's shouting voice does not match the action scenes she was portraying. Script was just bad.

NO, i do not recommend Wanted to add your enormous DVD collection. Unless you are a die-hard Angelina fan. But the movie does leave me wanting to read the book.

Party Planning 01

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, October 28, 2008 1 sweets for Kero
Whew. So the first birthday planning started over the weekend. We visited Virgin Megastore for some give-aways for the boys. I started to wrap them using last year's left over shiny wrappers. Now i ran out so i might drop by Ikea to get some more.

We also paid the reservation fee for the venue. We were given the invitations, the kids menu, and the adults menu. Hubby and i still wants some changes over the last one menu so maybe I will be e-mailing the sales coordinator in awhile. She is very accommodating and she understands so there should be no problem.

For the cake, we opted not to order from the venue because the choices were limited. Now i am in search for bakeries who will accommodate two-tiered themed cake and deliver it at the same time. Andrea's outfit will be for hubby to decide hehe.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I still have to do some chores but i will be back in awhile.

How was everybody weekend? Ours was spent at the annual DXB Boating Festival. There were lots of activities in store for young and old. But perhaps the most entertaining and most applauded was the bottle boat race. It also served to raise awareness on recycling and other environmental issues in the emirates. Here is my snapshot of the Saturday event at the Festival Marina.

Happy Sunday everyone! Thank you very much for the visit. I am excited to see all your entries as well. Take care and have a wonderful week ahead!

So our holiday continues at Umm Al Quwain Dreamland Aqua Park. Entrance is AED100 per adult. Kids under 4 years of age are free. Entry of foods and beverage are not allowed. But there were lots of restaurants to choose from including an international buffet.

The rides were fantastic and really pumps your adrenaline. A must-ride are the mighty-go-round, black hole, and twisting dragons.

Here are some of the family pics.

online habits!

Your Surfing Habits are 70% Female, 30% Male

If we had to guess, we would guess you are a woman.

You use the internet to keep up with friends and family.

You are likely to get online to communicate and share information.

You are also to research things that directly effect your life, like health and travel.

country bar codes

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, October 21, 2008 0 sweets for Kero
This was passed-on to hubby's mail and we would like to share it to everybody as well.

The whole world is now scared on China made "black hearted goods." But just how do you identify produce from China? Businessmen nowadays know that consumers do not prefer products from China so they choose not to show which country the product is manufactured.

However, you may refer to the first three digits of bar codes to know which country your goods came from.

690~692 -- Made in China
00~09 -- Made in USA & Canada
30~37 -- Made in France
40~44 -- Made in Germany
49 ------ Made in Japan
50 ------ Made in UK

This is our human right to know. Therefore, we have to rescue ourselves.

Birth Verse

Posted by Kero at Monday, October 20, 2008 2 sweets for Kero
I got two months to prepare for my Prince first birthday and hubby's 34th bash and boy i am excited! We will be dropping by the venue on Friday to confirm our reservation.

And now that we are talking about birthdays, I decided to snag this birthday verse meme from Anne. I looked up all the birth verses for the three of us and here are the results.

For ANDREAS

John 12:26 NIV
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

For CEASAR

1 Samuel 12:14 NIV
If you fear the LORD and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the LORD your God—good!

My Birth verse

1 Corinthians 2:12 NIV
We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

You are a child of God, His treasured possession.
He created you in His own image.
He chose the day for you to be born.
He has a plan and a purpose for your life.
Cherish your birthverse.

A bright Sunday to my visitors! Our weekend was spent at Creek Park for my nine-month old son to practice his walk. He can now make eight to ten steps on his own. Here is my Andreas with Daddy enjoying the sun and the grass and braving further steps on his own.

Thank you for your time and comments. I will be blog hopping in awhile. Take care and have a wonderful week ahead!

I just came by from Karissa's Things n Thongs. Her recent entry The Swan ,evoked so much of my childhood and i might put them in writing one of these days. I have so much to recall, to let go.

Recall, because maybe i opted to forget many things in order to cope up. Let go, because I need to forgive one person.

chasing payments

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, October 14, 2008 0 sweets for Kero
I've been hearing the song for sometime on the local fm radio stations and only got to know the title a few days ago while we we're driving home. The tune is catchy, i love the raw emotions that goes with it, and the ala-Amy Winehouse style. Oh yes, she maybe freaky, untidy, and most often drugged but nobody can deny how talented Winehouse is. Despite and respite of, I am still a Wino fan hihi.

Anyway, going back to the song, IT is performed by an English-Welsh singer-song writer named Adele. The title is Chasing pavements. Hubby says he does not understand the British metaphor chasing pavements. He thinks it is better to put it like chasing payments hihi.

Judging from the lyrics, it is a lovesong and i think it is like going after someone who doesn't even know you exist. So much like an unrequited love. Chasing payments it is haha.

Come sing the song here

Happy Sunday everyone! We woke up one Saturday morning to a sound of chopper circling by. When we looked outside our window, we saw this banner-towing helicopter. It seems that this is an advertisement for one of the prestigious property developer in the city. I share with you the view from our window.

A wonderful weekend to all my visitors. Thank you for your time. I am excited to see all your WS entries as well. Take care and till next WS!

Andreas Updates

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, October 07, 2008 1 sweets for Kero
My little boy turned 9 months last week and celebrated it with many first time experience hihi. Andreas had his first holiday, first colds (fever and runny nose), first bump (bruises on his forehead), and ate his first egg yolk (he really loved it).

We celebrated the Eid holiday with a trip to the famed Al Ain Zoo. The sun was scorching but we enjoyed the vast safari. We had picnic at the park the following day and went to BIBAK celebration the next day. All the while, Andreas was nursing his colds but heck, it won't do anything good if we stayed indoor.

He lost his appetite for about two days but quickly regained it when i mashed some egg yolk with rice. He literally opened his mouth wide every time the spoon approached his lips.

We spent our long weekend on a family safari in Al Ain. The 50-hectare zoo accommodates 600 animals in an environment closest to their natural habitat. I share with you some of my snapshots.

A blessed Sunday to my visitors! Thank you for your time. Take care and have a great week ahead!
