Titanium & Tungsten Jewelry

Black Titanium
Hubby had been raving about Titanium Rings for as long as I can remember. We were first acquainted with such marvelous jewelry on our honeymoon trip to Puerto Princesa. An Irish scuba-diving couple who were with our tour group chose the element for their band ring. They were glistening silver black that looked very hard yet elegant on finger. Although the Irish couple greatly admired our wedding band that came from Saudi Arabia, Hubby's amazement on their Titanium Rings was incomparable.

A few months ago, he lost his wedding band. I think this presented the opportunity to buy Black Titanium Rings. I'm trying to convince him that I'm okay with my gold band so he can go ahead choose a style for his most coveted element. I find titanium rings pricier than gold but for Hubby to wear it will be worth it.  The element is highly corrosion resistant and does not tarnish easily. He can wear it everyday - even when he goes deep sea diving or visiting construction site - or even when he is just tending to his potted plants. Titanium ring's durability is its most popular property.

Black Tungsten Carbide Cobalt-Free
An alternative would be Tungsten Rings but this is more expensive. Tungsten is the only metal that stays polished permanently. In fact, they had been dubbed as the most wear resistant tings on the planet. However, I read that a Tungsten ring would be too hard on to be engraved.

Hubby thinks that our wedding band should be the same so we are saving up for it. Fortunately, I found CKJewels where they sell affordable "model metals" Titanium and Tungsten Rings. With their prices, I am keeping my fingers crossed we can afford new wedding bands early next year. The photos above are the styles I have in mind.

i like this article very much. thank you for sharing...

my "major major" mistake, was letting my husband choose our wedding band. actually, he said we could have different styles. he chose a simple yet elegant one for him but i just also told him to buy the same style for me. since we'll be having a wedding ceremony here in korea, i thought that would be my turn to choose our rings here. to my dismay, they're too pricey. and that i was still so shy (because of my figure) to be in a white wedding dress so i asked him to wait a while more, haha..

i still love our wedding band but i'm really thinking on replacing them someday, especially mine, with one that would represent my value to him...
