Do You Still Love Me?

Posted by Kero at Wednesday, February 17, 2010
I actually find the question childish. Violent reactions accepted =)

But I know that at some point in a  relationship, you need to ask this. When things aren't going smoothly, when you're both busy and you think you are taken for granted by your partner, or simply because you want to make lambing.

So yes, i am guilty of asking this once. Maybe not exactly in that phrase but something to that effect. We had a few shots of brandy one weekend evening and the discussion went to reminiscing our past, the flirtations, how it became us, etc.

Hubby answered, "Always."

And i never dared to ask him again lolz!!

Instead, when i feel like making lambing, I say I love you. Those three words are not always easy to say. At least for me. They don't come out that easily. It's like i have to be satisfied emotionally to speak it out. But then, Hubby does a wonderful job keeping me happy so he gets to hear those words every now and then.

Yet off course, like any woman, I do wish that sometimes Hubby would say I love you often. But I guess, like me, those words don't come out easily for him. Sometimes I feel like I have to earn it. I feel like I have to do something really good and then I earn his three words. And I like it that way because it puts a CHALLENGE on the relationship. It keeps me on my toes to make our marriage BETTER everyday.

Truth is, I hear a lot of praise for Ceasar's devotion and commitment as a husband and a father. Like most men, he is not into public display of affection but behind closed doors, he is the sweetest guy on earth. You get an unexpected hug, a kiss, a massage, and would volunteer to do the dishes and even help fold the laundry. And if anything goes wrong, it is more likely that it comes from me.

I guess it's his way of keeping me reined =)

Hahahaah I can relate, si hubby kasi tumatawa pag tinatanong ko ng ganyan lol.. Or ang tanong ko madals is pag nakakasalubong kami ng medyo malaking figure, sasabihin ko "Will you still love me if I look like that" and he would just laugh.

Will You visit me?

I don't see anything wrong with asking our partners if they still love us, or if they will still love during our lambing moments di ba? Cuddling is very important, and it's important to let our partners know that we do care. MInsan kapag gusto kong mag inarte, inaaway kok pa nga, wahahaha..tapos sasabihin ko.."pramis, love mo pa rin ako kahit ang taba taba ko na, or kahit puro gray na hair ko, or kahit wrinkly na ako" then he would simply say, " of course, I married you for who you are" sabay pisil sa aking bilbil, hehehe..

Thanks for joing Kero, have a great week.

Hi mommy! We're the same, that if something goes wrong between my hubby and me, mostlikely it was my fault. :) Sometimes we look for things they don't have (like being demonstrative and all, yun pala, you just have to wait :)

Tagged you also, hope you'll enjoy the list :)

Hi Joei! I have a tag for you. :) Enjoy!

sorry i've been busy the past few days. wasn't able to visit your blog until today.

anyway, awwww... so sweet. and we're the same. i'd rather have someone who's the sweetest behind closed doors (like T!). coz some men are full-on pda but are really jerks when at home LOL

hope you had a great weekend!

There are men and women lang siguro who are not as showy as others.. but I believe mas ok na yung sweet pag kayo lang dba kesa yung sa maraming tao lang sweet, parang show off lang.. it's much meaningful pag ikaw lang gusto nyang makakita ng ka sweetan nya.. =)
