Fold Over Business Cards

Posted by Kero at Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Thank you for friends that can bake! Red velvet cupcake for breakfast, anyone?

My good friend E (nicknamed The Chef) visited yesterday with a  dozen of cupcakes. They were new flavors such as lavender and green tea and my boys' old time favorite, red velvet. She says these are our late anniversary gift yay!

A couple of days ago, The Chef called to complain that she loses a considerable amount of time in the kitchen because she has to answer customers calling about her product prices. E is alone handling everything - from buying ingredients, to greasing the molds, whipping butter creams, conceptualizing design, etc. She says she would be decorating a carrot cupcake but because a customer  kept her too long on the phone, she can't get the marzipan shape like a carrot lol! I told her that maybe she should consider giving out flyers with the corresponding price for each cupcake. But she found the idea too expensive as she is also considering to order business cards.

Then an idea hit me. Why not fold over business cards? This will give her more space to put her contact details, the price for each baked goodie, and bulk orders. I saw how efficient it is when we were handed a fold over business card by a cleaning service company. I quickly ran through their rates, called and booked a cleaner once a week. As a customer, I breath a sigh of relief that i didn't have to negotiate for rates.

E got so excited about the idea and as I learned she has a batch of order to bake, I offered to look online for printing companies offering business cards. That's how I came across NextDayFlyers.com. They offer one of the best services in online printing and delivers high quality marketing materials such as custom business cards, brochures, post cards, even specialty die cuts. More over, they ship quickly too. When you place an order and they are print ready and approved by 6PM, it will be printed and ready for shipment the next day.

When The Chef arrived yesterday, we tried to sketch the front and lay-out the text inside. We made about three concepts -some whimsical-  and she went home delighted to show them to her husband for approval. I'm glad I was able to help another friend. I forgot to ask though if we can get a family discount hahaaa!
