Wild Wadi Water Park

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Part of the privilege of staying in Meydan Hotel is unlimited access to Wild Wadi Water Park. It is situated between the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Long before Aquaventure came, Wild Wadi was the most popular outdoor waterpark in UAE. It is actually what I learned first about Dubai while watching Discovery Channel. It has heated/cooled artificial waves, surfing machines, and the park has the largest water slide outside of North America.

Juha's Journey (Lazy River) Wild Wadi has over 30 rides and attractions
Always a water baby, my son extremely enjoyed himself that he refused to take his afternoon nap. He tried all the slides in Juha's Dhow and Lagoon, and we rounded Juha's Journey five times! Sometimes he would float on his own, at times opting to use the ring when his legs get tired from flutter kicks. We had lunch at Sinbad's Galley and after a Wild Wadi Pizza and pasta, we headed to the fantastic wave pool.

Wild Wadi's most famous background: the 7-star Burj Al Arab
I could say that among the three water parks we visited, my son enjoyed himself most in Wild Wadi. Hubby is now considering buying a season pass lol! He was very impressed with the concept as it incorporated the Arab culture very well (Wadi means oasis in Arabic).

A visit to any of the UAE's water park is a must for tourists!
Other park features I admired is the cashless system (you can top-up your watch-like band with money for use inside the park and refund whatever the remaining amount when you get out), free drinking water, and the free plastic bag for wet swimsuit. Don't you hate going back to the car with water dripping from your beach bag?

Entry for adults: 200 AED
Kids below 1.1m : 165 AED

I like it there! The kids will surely enjoy staying there. No wonder your son forgot to take his siesta! Enjoy naman kasi sobra diyan. Tma si hubby. If lagi din naman kayo pupunta diyan, why not get a season pass di ba? Wise!

Thanks nga pala for dropping by. Sa wakas, after a long while, I'm back. When you drop by, you'll know why I was away for a while. Take care always! December na, lapit na Pasko!

Calling by from Italy via Outdoor Wednesday as I have a blog hop around today's participants. Well I certainly would not mind being at this water park right now, cold and damp here.
