Public Drinking Fountains of Italy

Posted by Kero at Tuesday, August 24, 2010
My take for this week's letter F is for Fountain.

If one can save up on anything while on a holiday to Italy, it is by not buying bottled drinking water. From Rome to Milan, we relied on their famous public drinking fountains (and no ill effects if you're worried about safety).

A typical drinking fountain in Rome.

I always drank the water from both fountains and ordinary taps and never suffered from it!

Wow,I would drink from those beautiful fountains -- they invite you to approach and drink deeply.
Wonderful pictures of how to obtain aqua vitae!
Thank you from the ABC team,
