i miss this very much. i tried cooking it here but my mother in law then didn't want me to. she thinks i don't know anything at all about seafood. it quite hurt so i cooked ginataang hipon last solar new year's and it drove her other children and their family crazy, raving about it and wanting to visit philippines just for the seafood dishes...kkk

ah, might as well cook some sometime this week...

I miss tahong, too. My mother used to make this with lots of ginger -- ang sarap ng sabaw! Perfect for rainy nights =)

i love mussels lalo na pag mataba at fresh! we also sauté this with ginger and lemongrass for added flavor.:p

my family love mussels. i saute it in garlic then sprinkle it with looots of cheese. your ginisang tahong looks delicious.

I really love tahong / mussels. Unfortunately, I developed an allergy to it, so, I had to stop eating it. But, whenever my dad cooks them at home, I eat 1-3 just so I won't think of them the whole day. LOL.

Tahong is really delicious. Just be careful when buying because it might be contaminated with red tide.

hi kero! sorry for the late visit. been so busy the past few weeks! anyway, i just had this for dinner last night. was at a birthday dinner and they had steak, mussels and oysters. i ate a looooooot! LOL
