Some Moving News

Posted by Kero at Thursday, July 15, 2010
My Uncle who had been living in the United States for years with his family are finally moving to their own house. They are so excited that after almost five years of living in a cramped apartment, their two young daughters can finally have their own  room. He volunteered to take a month away from work to take charge of  packing as his nurse wife has just started to work with a new hospital.

However, he called last night complaining that after two weeks of trying to pack, it seems he is not making remarkable progress. Thinking that I am the more expert with the issue - having relocated four times in four years - he called for some clues. I chuckled imagining his 3-year old and 1-year old playing dress-up as he tries to pack family clothes.

Moving to a new place is really very thrilling for everybody - if only the the stuffs in your cupboard, your clothes,  sofa, and bed will pack themselves in a big box and walk their way to the container van. So I shared to him what we do here in Dubai when relocating to a new place. Dial the expert movers, something like the San Diego Movers. Generally, relocating services do all the stressful part of moving that you don't even have to lift a finger. They come with their empty big boxes to put your fragile things on. They even have equipments to unhinged and unscrew big IKEA closets if you plan to take them along as well. Some even offer services to unpack and arrange them in your new home making the relocation as smoothly as possible.

That way, he will have time for his daughters and spend his one month vacation with a more quality time for his family.
