NMEDA To Help In Mobility Independence

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was out in the balcony yesterday cleaning when our Indian neighbor Deepa, popped in. I haven't seen her for the past few weeks now, and been missing our shared tea breaks while our toddlers take their nap. I learned that her absence is due to her father's health who lives with them. There has been some concerns about his mobility early this year. His frailness had them visiting the hospital frequently.

It is good that Zabeel Park is near from our place. Sometimes when I bring my toddler there, I see Deepa's parents walking around slowly for some exercise and a dose of fresh air. But now, that activity has been halted because Deepa's father needs help to move around. Now they are planning to buy a an wheelchair so they can continue their afternoon trips to the park.

I know Deepa only wants the best care and equipment for her parents so I shared a website called NMEDA. It is a non-profit trade association.

NMEDA educates people on buying products from an NMEDA qualified dealer.  They do not sell anything. NMEDA is the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people. Their members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NMEDA dealers (members) are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.

NMEDA has Dealers AND Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers. The Quality Assurance Program (QAP) is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

The role as a caregiver is requires patience and sacrifice. But with an NMEDA qualified dealer there to assist you, it can get the elderly and disabled back on the road to independence. To know about the nearest qualified dealer in your place, simply visit their website and type in the zip code.
